I’ve always been active and healthy, but a few years ago, I started to notice some changes. My energy levels were low, I was gaining weight, and I just didn’t feel as good as I used to. I went to the doctor, and they ran some tests. The results showed that I was diabetic and had high cholesterol.
I was shocked. I had never had any health problems before, and now I was facing two serious conditions. I knew I had to make some changes, so I started researching different diets and exercise programs.
I eventually came across the carnivore diet, and I decided to give it a try. The carnivore diet is a high-fat, low-carb diet that consists of only meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. I was skeptical at first, but I was willing to try anything.
I started the carnivore diet in January of 2022, and I’ve been following it ever since. I’ve also started walking regularly, and I’ve made some other lifestyle changes, such as getting enough sleep and drinking more water.
I’m happy to report that the carnivore diet has been a complete game-changer for me. My energy levels are back, I’ve lost weight, and my blood sugar and cholesterol levels have normalized. I feel better than I have in years.
The Cheat That Helped Me Lose Weight
One of the things that has helped me stay on the carnivore diet is a little cheat that I learned about on the Reddit /r/carnivore subreddit. The cheat is to eat McDonald’s sandwiches, but without the buns or any carbs.
I know it sounds crazy, but it works! I’ll either get a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and eat the meat, eggs, and cheese, or I’ll get a double cheeseburger and eat the meat, cheese, and pickles. I throw the buns away or give them to the birds.
I know that McDonald’s food is not the healthiest, but it’s a lot cheaper than buying high-quality meat from the grocery store. And, it’s a lot easier to find McDonald’s than a butcher shop.
The Results
In just three months, I’ve lost 53 pounds and my A1C has gone from 7.8 to 5. My cholesterol levels are also normal. I feel better than I have in years.
I know that this may not be the right approach for everyone, but it has worked for me. If you’re struggling with your health, I encourage you to try it. You may be surprised at how well it works.
Here are some additional tips that may help you on your journey to better health:
- Be patient. It takes time to see results, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t see changes overnight.
- Be consistent. The key to success is to stick with your diet and exercise plan, even when it’s tough.
- Find a support system. Having people to support you on your journey can make a big difference.
- Don’t give up. If you slip up, don’t beat yourself up. Just pick yourself up and keep going.
I believe that everyone has the power to improve their health. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely possible. With hard work and dedication, you can reach your health goals and live a long, healthy life.
